he is BMing in hs underwear and is 3. he had quit doing it for a long time now he does it in his underwer and don't even care. I took away his movie and he is sitting on the potty then he is going to take a nap. I am wishing he would just quit having accidents and be a big boy like he has these past few months.

Taking things away and making him sit on the toilet are equating using the restroom with punishment.

She is right.  My nephew had a prblem with this off and on until he was 11 years old.  My sister did everything she could think of, even took him to see a therapist.  It turned out he just didn't want to go to the bathroom.  Finally the last time it happened, she made him clean out his undie by hand in the sink.  He never did it again. lol

I agree with the pp.  We used a reward system, everytime he went on the potty he got a reward.  We also told him that if he wasnt comfortable on the toilet that he could have a pull up. When he asked for the pull up i would run him to the potty and ask him if he wanted to try that first. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didnt.
