I was planning a small birthday party for her but her cousins that were supposed to come left today go out of state to spend a few weeks with their dad. I really want to make her birthday special. What can I do? Her birthday is June 29th.

Do something outdoors. Maybe a bar-b-que, something at thepark. It's cheaper and the kids would love being outside.

What is her favorite thing to do? Does she like to swim, skate, read? Take her out for a mother/daughter day! Go to the park, out for lunch to a kid-friendly restaurant (like Red Robin) and then let her help you bake her birthday cake - and let her lick the bowl. My daughter is 7 and she still loves when we do random mother/daughter days!

My friends dd is obsessed Dora. She couldn't have the party outside because it's in the middle of winter but they invited a bunch of kids for her to play with and had a Dora themed party and let her help decorate. For a summer party I think a b.b.q. would be a good idea. Maybe let her help set up. Good luck!
