My mom never had time to pack my lunch, so I want to do that for my DD.  She starts kindergarden in a month.  I'm having trouble figuring out what to pack.  Her favorite thing is pb&j but they can't have peanut butter at that school :(  I believe the school lunch is $2.10 to buy.

I fix my daughter lunches.  However, there have been times when i have let her buy lunches.

My daughter packed her lunch most days.....a few times she did buy. Her lunches are 2.75 for lunch with milk.
When she packed it was a sandwich, grapes, cottage cheese, or a rice bowl, heated in the am then I heated her theromos with hot water, emptied that and put rice in, cheese stick and some baked lays. Usually had celery, carrotts and brocolli or tomatoes with ranch dressing to dip them into! If my husband or I were eating lunch with her, she would buy, IF it was something she liked but other wise she packed! Most days I'd put a hersheys kiss or a small reeses cup in as a "suprise"!! There are neat websites that you can print off lunch box notes for their lunch box too!!!!! My daughter loved them, in kindergarten last year!!!!
