They can watch whatever they want..of course no porn, lol. But yeah as far as kids shows it's fine. I'm not under the impression that the tv dictates my childs behaviour.

My son is 18 months and love sesame street, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, Cops, and Family Guy... he doesn't understand it, he just loves the animation and the songs.  DF loves it and as long as he isn't going "gigdy gigdy goo"  I'll let is slide.  He also loves the morning weather man named Larry Sprinkle... real name!

my 7-y-o watches iCarly and hannah montana and such. my 3-y-o watches spongebob, oswald, wow wow wubbzy, scooby doo.... and my 1-y-o doesn't "watch" tv shows but when yo gabba gabba is on, she loves to dance!

shows like spongebob don't bother me a bit. i can see why some people think it's annoying, but it doesn't annoy me. and it might not be the most pure show... they say "butt" and things like that... but i'm of the opinion that my kids are going to hear a lot worse words than "butt" growing up, so i don't really care. they know what they can and cannot say in this household!

My kids watch only Noggin. They are 2.5, 2.5 and 8 months, so they really dont need to watch anything but they love the shows on noggin and i dont mind as they teach them good lessons and get them talking and stuff.
Id never let my kids watch spongebob, the stuff on there is just not appropriate for children in my opinion. Sure the kids sometimes dont know what they are referencing to but its still not right. Alot of the stuff on there is so blatantly obvious its ridiculous.

love that name. our old weather guy when we lived in MD was Topper Shutt. He looks almost exactly like Steve Carell lol

I pretty much leave it on Noggin during the day but I don't censor what is on after DH comes home, I think kids behavior has a lot more to with parenting than what they see on TV. That being said DS is 23 months old and the only show he will actually sit down and watch is Yo Gabba Gabba. But he will come running for the 5 dollar footlong commercials and the Nuva Ring one where they are singing, lol!

Generally Noggin, but a friend of ours just gave us every Disney movie made, so we like to watch those. When her dad comes home, the tv is on whatever we watch. I don't let her watch sponge bob, but that's because that show bothers me. That's about the only show she's not allowed to watch.

My 20mo dd watches baby1st tv and nothing else she has been watching since she was about 6mo it's a whole channel of cartoons designed for babies/toddlers it's 100% educational and commercial free!! U have to order it through sattilite cable. It's the best 4.99 I have ever spent she has learned so much. She is not even 2 yet and can count to 20 knows all her shapes most of her colors and can sing her ABCs. And 15-20 differnt signs. Most shows are interactive so u and your child can take part in what's going on and your not just sitting there like a lump staring at the TV. I HIGHLY recommend this channel to anyone with a toddler it's so worth it!!!!

Our 7 year old watches Boomerang, Disney, Discovery Kids etc. I have Cartoon Network blocked in his room because I find their cartoons to be ridiculous. He is only allowed so much TV in a day. I have a timer on his box that turns it off for hours at a time so he can find other things to do but sit in front of the TV. The only thing my 16 month old watches is Baby Einstein videos in the morning while he eats breakfast.
