My DS's 1st Birthday Party is planned for October 11th. I wanted to send out the invites either this week or the next.  Would that be too early? I just wanna get the invitations done and over with.

I think that is way to early. People will forget.

So the beginning of September would be too early?

2 weeks in advance is the best time.

i usually send them out 2-3 weeks in advance.  it gives people enough time to respond either way, but not enough time to forget.

i would say send them out around the last week in september.

I would say its way way too early. three weeks prior to the party is the earliest I would send invitations, but two weeks is ideal. People forget, loose the invitations, etc etc.

its way too early to send invites for a party in oct.  i agree that 2 weeks is prolly best.  i personally do 3 weeks which is almost too much.  i give it a week for rsvps then i can start getting supplies.  i do alot of shopping online so i need more than a few days to get ready for the party.

I would say a month would be fine, but not before. We had planned on around 50 for our DD's 1st bday this summer and about 15 of the people that RSVPd didn't show!! lol I like to be safe than sorry though so I'm glad I planned for all 50
