Okay so there are a group of kids that live in my apartment complex that are unsupervised outside all day long causing trouble and going to end up hurt badly.  I have told the mother and the father to come get their kids but they bring them in the house for 10 minutes then let them come right back outside.  Here is a little history:  There are 2 boys & 2 girls, siblings, the oldest is about to start 1st grade.  They live on the other end as me, there are maybe 8 apartments between mine and theirs', mine being close to the street too!!

They have taken the cement pavers and lined them across the driveway so people couldn't get thru, they have came and taken stuff off my back porch, one thing being a rake and swinging it around at other kids, they just almost got hit on their little bikes by me and 3 other cars going thru the apartment driveway.  They throw rocks at kids, have tried to throw at mine but I had her come in the house.  They hit our car with sticks.  They have came and opened our back door to come in the house.

I haven't lived in an apartment before and I don't know if its my place to say something or call police or just live with it.  Usually we lived in nice neighborhood and didn't deal with bad a$$ kids like this.  We plan on staying here another couple months til about Christmas but it's driving me crazy!!  Something bad is going to happen to their kid or my kid because they throw things.

I need some suggestions on what to do please ladies!!!

So I posted this about a week ago and since then there has been a few things that happened.  I almost hit the kid because he was coming out between cars on his little bike.  So I told the mom and she said okay she would watch them.  Then last night, the kid threw a rock at my daughter and it hit her knee, so I told her to go tell the mom and when she went in the hallway the kid threw a big rock and it hit her right between the eyes, one side has a scratch and its bruised.  So I went down to the mom and told her she need to watch her f**king kids they are down here throwing rocks at my kid.  Then she said that my kid isn't an angel, yea I know that but she stays in front of my window, I sit in front of the window when I am inside and see what happens.  Then about 70% of the time I am on the back porch so I see what happens.  Needless to say her and I got into arguement with no resolution.  So I did call the police, hopefully point got across because the kids were in front of her house the whole time today that they were outside.  We'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

I was glad to see I still had 4 tires intact and nothing done to the paintjob on my cars either after calling the police on her!! lol

how close it got to her eye, coulda been a lot more serious and did permanent damage

I would talk to the manager first about the problems. Also get neighbors to report them also.

first speak with management about this. tell them what has been going on. if possible take some of your neighbors with you and you all complain. if the problem still isnt fixed then i would call CPS or something cause it is the parent's fault for not supervising their kids and it is putting them in danger. good luck.

If you have an apartment manager, tell him, IN WRITING, what you see these kids doing, the date and time. Be VERY specific.

If you don't have an apartment manager, contact your landlord. If nothing gets done about it, I would then call the cops.

4 kids, all under 6, should not be running around unsupervised, period. If it is affect your things and your children, you have a right to expect something be done about it.

OH! And anything you give to the landlord or manager, you need to make sure you have copies to show the cops if it comes to that.

talk to the parents again and then the manager and if they still don't watch their children call the police. just because your in an apartment complex doesn't mean you have to deal with that plus people are crazy those kids could get hurt if they just walk into the wrong person's house so if the parents won't watch their damn kids then the police shoould be called. Those parents are going to want to sue and everything else when one of the gets hurt.

Talk to the apartment management first, if nothing is done by them then call the police. Those kids are endangering EVERYONE and their parents are being neglectful. The next time they try to open your door, call the cops.
