DS and I are going to the library later today and I'm looking for suggestions.  He is only 5mo.  He loves Dr. Seuss, P.D. Eastman and we've read all the Eric Carle books.  He loves books that rhyme or have flow.  Any ideas?

at 5 months he will love anything you read...even the newspaper...lol...   there's a book called Hot Dog...it is funny, also get books with simple pictures, and describe each and every detail to him.  you dont have to "read" the books, you can make up your own story to go with the pics.

Just read - anything!  WE regularly go and grab 20 or so early readers or board books and read through them all 2-3 times over the course of a week and then go replenish our supply....

DS LOVES Mr. Brown Can Moo Can You!

To everyone saying read anything...I do but he really gets involved in books for young kids.  I do point out everything while we read.  I've been reading to him since he was born and he just loves it.  The very first book I read him was Charlotte's Web.

My daughter loves those ones. Her very top favorite book is 'Bear Snore On'. I bet your son would love it, it's a cute story (for you) and has a lot of flowing rhymes (for him). We read it a million times a day. Other favorites are:

Goodnight Moon

The Foot Book (Dr. Seuss)
