Okay, I'll be first....

I'm new to Cafemom (if you haven't already noticed).  I'm not new to social networking though.  I've been on MySpace and other social sites for a few years now.  I haven't had a chance to take a good look around, but so far I'm liking what I see.  We all have at least a couple things in common, those being: we're mom's or aspiring to be moms and we're members here.  So, that's a good start at getting acquainted with new people.  I'm glad I decided to take the plunge into these waters. 

I have a teenage daughter. She's a junior in high school.  She's also an all-round athelete.  She thinks she wants to go to Harvard when she graduates, even though she has seen how much tuition costs.  So, we'll see.  I told her she had better start applying for a ton of scholarships.  She wants to be an attorney one day.  I totally admire her aspirations and encourage her to reach for the stars, while she's young.

I've been married eighteen years.  Marriage is like any other relationship, in that there are ups and downs, but the important thing is to tough it out.  Believe me, it's worth it.  Some problems today make no difference five years from now. 

I enjoy writing.  I like to read romance novels.  I have a healthy interest in things to do with the paranormal. Got a good ghost story, I'm all ears.  I love to meet people and if there is a connection and the conversation comes easy, there will be a friendship developed. 

I live in the Four Corners Area, in a place called Farmington New Mexico.  I'm originally from Colorado, moved to New Mexico years ago, when I finished with the military.  Love the area . Love the culture. Love the people.

What am I looking for here?  I'm looking forward to making new friends.  A friend doesn't have to be someone who has the same interests as me, though it does make getting acquainted alot easier.  Anybody who I find to be interesting works for me, as far as the friendship deal goes.

Okay......I guess I've rambled on enough for now.

Hello I'm Robyn, mother of 2 boys ages 6 and 3. I have been a member of cafemom for a while but sorta new to the group, I live in florida and have lived here all my life. I like meeting new people, doing crafts and love watching lifetime movies.

Hi I'm Mandie!  I've been on Cafemom for about 2 years now. I have a 3 yr old son whom my world revolves around. I'm 24 and live in Chicago. I'm a nurse by day and mommy by night. I'm also a photography hobbyist. I love love sports and play softball in the summer and snowboard in the winter. My husband passed away about a year ago, so my life has taken a HUGE turn this year and I'm still trying to learn how to help my son realize daddy isn't coming home. :( Other than that, I spend my nights after the little on is in bed here on Cafemom and on Facebook. LOL

 Hi my name is Jaye and I have been on Cafemom since the first month it began and I love this place.  I am married to a wonderful man 10 yrs younger then me and I have a 15 yr,13yr,5yr and 3 yr old.  My family is my world and I love meeting new friends on here and watching there kids grow.  I have made a lot of friends on here and hope to get more.  If interested in becoming my friend just ask.

Hi My name is Shannon Im new to cafemom, I joined to meet other pregnant moms and moms with babies! Im 5 months pregnant and this would be my first baby! I am 19 and living with my fiance in the wichita kansas area. Im also looking to meet moms in my surrounding area. I dont really get out much because I've been having a hard pregnanct so far with alot of pain but I'm looking to change that the more moms I meet!     

Hello ladies. My name is Jaime. I am 33 years old, happily married to the most amazing man I have ever met, for just over 11 years now. I am a SAHM with 2 beautiful toddlers. Lucas is almost 3 1/2 and Sadie is 2 1/2. And if anyone is trying to do the math, yes, they are 10 1/2 months apart!! My hubby and I were both born and raised in the Los Angeles area but moved to cenral PA the day after we were married and we couldn't be happier. But how could anyone not be happy living just 15 minutes away from the Hershey factory?? On a clear day with a nice breeze you can smell the chocolate!! Mmmmmm
