What are some of your Chrsitmas traditions you do as a family?
Go home to Tennessee :) LOL. The kids are young yet, next year will probably be the year we start putting up our own tree and decorating and making sugar cookies (I got my cookie cutters this year). :)

We bake cookies every year...some that actually taste good and others that we decorate all up with frosting, sprinkles, candy, etc...! For some reason those never taste very good...probably cuz we have to use so much flour to keep the shapes from falling apart. lol. We also go and see the Christmas lights at this mill they have lit up every year. You can walk around and get boiled peanuts and hot cocoa. We're also taking dd to one of the local zoos. They have a nighttime petting zoo with Christmas lights everywhere, and you can feed the animals and have your picture taken with Santa. Very cute. I'm soooo excited that this year dd is finally old enough to have fun with all this...even if she still doesn't fully understand why we're doing it!
A lot of things changed when John & I moved away from home to another state, it was just 2 of us then and we didn't really celebrate it anymore. We plan to start a family Christmas with the 4 of us this year...still trying to get some things working to make it "Our Family Christmas".
Back home, before we got married and had kids...every year we'd go with my whole family to watch the Christmas Lights as the City Hall, take a whole bunch of pictures and make donations to the charities there. Then on Christmas Eve we'd all stay over at one person's house, it rotates each year. Everyone will take all the gifts over and put it under the tree...that night we'd bake cookies, watch movies until the younger kids all fall asleep. The next morning, I'm usually the first to wake up so I'd make breakfast for EVERYONE (isn't that crazy). After breakfast we'll bring out the Camcorder and tape the celebration of opening gifts. The entire Christmas Day we'd all just hang out at home mostly, maybe go out to eat lunch and then go back to Mom's house for dinner.
This year we plan to do similar things like back home but with our kids. Can't fly back home every year due to schedule, vacation and all....
We're taking the children to Opportunity Village to see the Christmas lights, take pictures and ride the Choo-Choo Express. Then we'll come home to light up our own tree, hoping Viktor doesn't kill it first. On Christmas Morning, we'll be open the gifts we have with video recording and as usual I'll be making breakfast.
Aww that sounds wonderful! So what state do you live in?
