baby's first birthday...HELP!

UGH!!! My son's first birthday is december first, and i have NO IDEA what to do for it. I live in West Virginia, and I've never planned a party before, especially for a child.

I'm going to have to do it after the first, so I'll have more time to plan, but my biggest problem is where to have it. I doubt anyone here is familiar with northern wv (if you are, don't suggest Valley Worlds of Fun because they're complete RIPOFFS), but if anyone has any general location ideas, please please throw them my way!

Also, I'd rather not have it at our house, because its way too small to have a proper party with other guests. I'm also guessing I'd probably have around 8ish kids ages 1-5 along with their parents and some other adult guests.

Is there a Chuck E. Cheese in your area? Kids seem to love taht place and they have a toddler area for the smaller kids.

Since he is turning 1 a good party is a balloon party, blow up a bunch and fill up one room full, the kids love it and will play for hours in it. Its quick and easy and not to expensive......We did this for my son and he loved it! Then for his second birthday we did the whole peter pan thing, he was peter pan and all the little boys cae as the lost boys and the little girls as fairies it was a lot of fun.....let me know what you decide and how it turns out....good luck.
