We all are new mommies (or have been there before!), so tell me... What's the longest you've gone without sleep?
Well, I am not sure for straight through with no sleep. When ds was born, I had gotten up early that morning to go out for breakfast and then later that night I had him. I was not able to sleep that whole day and the entire next day becuase they had to check my vitals every hour on the hour for 24 hours because my blood pressure was dangerously high. It really sucked and then of course I stayed from monday to friday so with the machines, a baby that needed to nurse every two hours, and all of the visitors, I really didn't sleep much either and then when I got home, he would not sleep even two hours at a time. I never knew before that what sleep depravation was lol. I only hope I can manage to handle that again when I have another baby.
2 days! Now I'm lucky I get a nights sleep..without my son waking up!

You'll have to describe what you mean by "sleep"...I often say these days that I'm not going to sleep, I'm going to bed to hang out until the next child needs me. I'll wake up in one of my sons' beds and have to remember how I got there! LOL! When I do sleep, I dream about getting a full night's sleep...
Almost 72 hours. From the time I woke up on a Thursday to the time I could finally sleep on Sunday-included labor starting at midnight that first day, delivery, and having to stay in the hospital until Sunday afternoon. I was a paranoid first-time mama-lol! And they discovered my daughter had a heart murmur but wouldn't explain it to me at first so I was all freaked out.

Good question! I was so spoiled when my son was 3 months old and sleeping 12 hours a night. He started having night terrors at 9 months and ever since then I never sleep. I am either dealing with his night terror, trying to get him back to sleep, or waiting for the next one to come.
Since DD was born...The longest I have gone without sleep was 20 hours....And that was when my sister had her baby!! I woke up at 6, went to work from 8-5, then drove 5 hours to Connecticut. I got to the hospital around 10:30-11 pm...I didn't get to sleep until like 2ish!! And even then I only slept for a couple of hours! My sister was in the ICU after having complications with her delivery!
