I started noticing these wird little bruises on my sons kness and elbows and i think he's getting more they look almost like chicken pox but they aren't bumps and they're bruise colored. Should I take him to a dr and how long would you wait

i personally would take him in to the dr's.  that just me i'd rather be told it nothing than to wait it out and have it be something.

Looks like what my 3-year-old gets when he bumps on or into something, but agree that I'd take him to the doctor just to be sure.

It could be eczema...BUT go to the doctors anyway just to be sure.

That's not eczema. My DS and I both suffer from eczema.

I think it's just from playing, esp if your LO has siblings that he plays with. My DD has bruises on her knees and elbows from falling and running into things.

DD looks like that all the time. Not as bad anymore she's not as clumsy as she used to be. When she was crawling she would have them from her toes to her knees and wherever she ran into things with her arms.

My dd gets bruises like that on her shins they look almost identical, but she is still in her crib just for naptime and I noticed that she does like flips literally in her crib and bangs her legs and it leaves bruises that look like that...or she will go running and practically run into our couch and it matches up right to where her bruises are my dd is an accident walking however haha...if you are concerned it def. can't hurt to get them looked at!

I agree - take him to the doctor just to be sure. It can be absolutely nothing but it could be something. Better safe than sorry!
