The black friday shopping/ Good experience or Bad?
So how many of you got up early for shopping and did you get what you wanted? How was your experience?
I was up at 4:00 and and at the first store for 5:00. It was crazy but I did get most of what I wanted. Walmart was sooooo busy and disorganized though. My sister waited in line with our items for about 30-40 minutes then when it was down to just 2 people in front of us, they said "this line is cash only" WTH!!! I was so mad. We had to get into another line and wait another 30 minutes. Thankfully Best Buy was next and we only waited for about 5-10 minutes in line.
Well here in upstate NY, women had their children out and it was raining and VERY cold (high 30's) out at 4:30am. I thought it was friggin nuts. My babies stayed at home with daddy and slept like they normally would. It was incredibly busy and crowded and there really wasn't that much that I really WANTED to grab..so it was a bust for me.
i was in line at toys r us at 12:15 and didnt get into the store until 2:30am,then waited another 40 minutes to check out. we didnt get home until 5:00am!!!! there werent that many deals that i found, but i knew that would happen; i just went to see what it was like and to experience it once. i also went to the mall later friday morning; it wasnt too busy and the sales at old navy were fantastic. i am glad that i was able to start my shopping.
i dont know if i will be doing it next year though...
I waited in a huge line at target at 4:00 in the morning to get two $3.00 coffee makers for my in-laws and a nintendo ds game for my hubby then went to old navy and got my son a new winter coat and hubby a sweater. And eventually made my way to walmart to buy hubby some 2.00 dvds. It was shopping for hubby day on friday. lol. It was cold, since well i live in western NY. But no bad experience.
We only have a Walmart here, so EVERYONE was there. My friend and I went and got there about 4:30 and it was already a mad house. I got most of my kid's presents there and a bunch of dvds, but I just went to go and have fun, not to do all my shopping. Some people get carried away at Black Friday, but I had a good time because I was not freaking out. The lines were ridiculous, I probably waited 20 minutes at least in line. But like I said, I figured it would be that way and I went to go with my friend, not to stress about deals. It was fun though.
I had an awsome experience I went to Walmart with my SIL and I got good deals and find everything I was looking for.

I got great deals at Kohl's on Black Friday! I went at 7:30 and the morning madness had already cleared out. There were no lines! I spent $67, saved $170 off the original prices, and got $10 in Kohls cash that I can spend at the end of the week! I got 6 people done in a half hour!

Thats insane - we went here in CO at 9am for our last stop and the lines were INSANE....almost touching for both sides in the complete BACK of the store!!
Walmart was even better than that at 530, lol

my mom and i have a tradition in which we go to jcpenny's each year and get their disney snow globe they hand out. this year i took my 7month old with us. we got there at 4am when they opened. we live in nc so the weather was not bad at all. after that we went to few other stores in the mall and i found my two year old an elmo back pack for half off. after we do our shoping we eat breakfast out. i always have fun. :)

We go to walmart every year. And kmart if they have anything we want for the kids. Our walmart is a 24 hour store so we go in a few hours early usually get there at 3 am and walk around to see where everything we need is. And then wait for 4:45 to roll around, they let you get stuff a little early to reduce the line wait. Everything that is on sale is always in the central issles on pallets so it is easy to find. And if you push shuve or intenionally hurt someone the staff will make you leave without allowing you to buy what you wanted so it keeps everything a little better. I love black friday. Its crazy busy but its lots of fun. Its the thrill of the chase, trying to get to everything you need before it is all gone. Its lots of fun. Kmart near us isnt usually to busy, cause there are a ton of kmarts in other cities around us it is really just the people who live in our town that go to it. And our
