I have a bird and a pit! The bird isn't very nice so she just looks at it. But our dog is AMAZING with our DD. My DD climbs all over her and picks at her and everything and she just sits there. Probably one of the best dogs I have ever had. I will have to upload a picture of my pup once my computer is working better. Right now it's super slow!

I have a five year old German shepard / Border Collie mix (Ginger).  She is wonderful with my DD.  At night she sleeps in the hallway outside of the bed room so that if I do not hear DD she can come and wake me up.  During tummy time Ginger will lay on the floor next to DD play mat and watch her also if i help DD turn over Ginger will flop onto her back like she is saying "I can roll over too".  She also likes to lay at the bottom of the bouncy seat so DD can kick at her ears.  When DD is in her swing and it has stopped moving if DD fusses then Ginger will get up and push the swing with her shoulder to make it move.  Oh and when we come in from work with DD in the carseat Ginger sniffs her and licks her on the head to make sure that she is ok and then goes and lays down.  It is great!!!

When DD was younger, I only had 1 cat and an outdoor dog. The dog (whom I admit I never trained well) didn't get a lot of time with DD cause she was so big and got over excited around her. I didn't want her to get hurt. The cat was rather jealous (my one and only for years) and would sometimes try to nudge between the baby and I. I just moved him to a comfy spot where I could hold DD and pet him at the same time.

Now that DD is 2, I have one big indoor dog and 3 cats. The same cat I've had for years interacts with DD when he feels like it. He's kind of an old grump and still just wants me. My 2 younger cats are different. One (male) runs around with plenty and lets her torture him. LOL. The other (female) is only interested in hubby and I. The dog loves the heck out of her. She just has an over licking problem.

We have 2 cats. Our older one avoids our baby all together but our younger cat has pretty much grown up with our baby and she's great with both girls. She'll play with them and let then hold her and cuddle her and she just sits there lol she like to sleep in bed with them too

We have two cats.  They would stay away from my daughter till she was crawling except for the occassional sniff.  Around 5months my eldest cat developed an attachment to my daughter and tried to sleep in her crib, so we had to start keeping the door shut.  She is 15months now, and both cats let her pick them up and hug them.  She also trys to pet them, it is so cute.

We have a 14 week old Australian Cattledog Pitbull mix puppy and a Beta fish lol. Our puppy is just a typical puppy, full of energy and runs wild whenever she gets the chance. We are still in the middle of potty training so she is kept in the kitchen quite a bit. Overall she is doing well with DD, she has learned not to jump up on her and run her over, although it does still happen occasionally. We got the dog to grow up and be a companion to DD and to be a guard dog when she is full grown. With all of the puppy energy and potty training issues DH has a lot of frustrations with her and has talked about getting rid of her but I am the one who adopted the dog and I am not going to let him off so easily. DH is the one who wanted a puppy and not an adult dog so he gets to deal with her until she grows out of this stage, which could take awhile. Overall she is a very good dog when given the love and attention she needs so I think we will stick it out because she will be a great dog when she is full grown.

In Sept. we took in an abandoned cat.  At first he just hid from everyone except DH and I.  Now that he is comfertable being in out home he does well with the kids, well as long as they don't make him dance or pull him around by his tail...lol!  He is an extremely loving cat.  The kids get excited if he walks in the room and are always trying to pet him and sometimes even kiss him.
