Don't worry about your period returning, that doesn't mean you have to stop nursing.  Just monitor the amount of diapers your little one is having (dirty and wet), and if they decrease in number, you might want to look into seeing if your milk supply is low.  A period returning doesn't mean that it is though... good luck!
