My toddler has now figured out how to climb over the baby gate with no problems whatsoever. To him, he now has total freedom to go up and down the steps (between being with me or his daddy) although we have NOT given him that freedom intentionally.
Needless to say he was downstairs and came up. He stands on the baby gate bar and I said "What are you doing? You are either UP or you are DOWN."
At the exact same time I'm saying this Mickey Mouse is on and says "up" and "down". Literally at the same time I said them. So my toddler's looking at the tv and saying "up", "down" with both me and Mickey but totally NOT taking me serious. Grrrr. How in the world does that happen? Especially when you're wanting to get a point across. Geesh!

Hahahaha! That's kind of cute. Frustrating for you....but cute.
lol they are fun i gave up on the baby gate he would push it untill it would give in but their little minds are working constantly and they figure out stuff fast mine has almost figured out all of the baby locks and some of them i have a hard time with lol.
hahaha i know what u mean. lol somethings my daughter does is wrong but we can not help but laugh. we try to cover our faces and laugh but she sees and keeps on going about her business. like this one time she was dancing to her fave. song right now love game by lady gaga... so she pulls her underwear down and starts smacking her butt. and shaking it. omg we were laughing up a storm but telling her no, its not polite hahahaha but all she sees is us laughing so she thought she was funny.
just one of her many funny wrongs hahahaha.
LMAO!!! Sorry mama. I feel you pain. My son is a climber.
LOL the timing is hilarious!
My son is almost 13 months and he keeps hiking his leg up as if he thinks he can get it over the gates. I can tell he is already plotting how to escape. I dread that day!
