We've entered it. She's almost 1 and she's started throwing herself on the ground when she doesn't get what she wants. Great.

Ignore her and walk away or throw yourself on the floor and start screaming with her. ignoring worked for me

I know how you feel. DS does the same thing. He is 19 months now. His big thing is smacking his head into things when he is upset. He has a bruise on his head that just keeps getting bigger from this.

Don't you just love that? My DD is still like that and she doesn't turn 2 until Thursday..I'm hoping that she'll just stop one day b/c my DS NEVER did the whole tantrum thing.

Yeah DD has already begun that and she'll be 10 months on Valentine's Day. It's frustrating because I'll catch her with something she shouldn't have and then when I take it away from her and try to give her something she CAN play with, she starts giving me this shrill screech and then starts crying.

Unfortunately, she got it from me. My mom said I used to throw myself on the ground in public and she would just walk away from me...it worked, lol. I'm going to start doing that with DD. If she wants to throw a tantrum, she can. I'm just going to ignore her complaining.

Oh no! I am dreading when this happens with my DD. She's almost 12 months and hasn't thrown any temper tantrums. I feel very blessed. Good luck trying to figure out what to do. I'll be in your boat soon I'm sure!

The party is Feb. 11 so we'll see you soon!
