I have to admit something... my husband never proposed to me, and somehow we ended up married anyway. :) Many friends have asked how we got from dating to all the sudden walking down the isle, but I honestly have no idea.
Next year it will be 10 years ago that we got married... my husband was talking about how he never proposed, and I told him that was ok, because I never thought about how I wanted to be proposed to, so I had no expectations. Then he he asked me if I could have him propose in any way, how would I picture it.
I honestly have no idea! So I need some help... what would the perfect proposal be? How have you always pictured it?
I never had a dream proposal in mind, but I hope my DH re-does his someday.
He called me on the phone (he had to leave on deployment - was 3000 miles away), and he said something along the lines of "We should get married so you can live here okay". I said Okay.... Then his mom sent me a ring in the mail that she picked out. LAME! LoL
I've never had a specific proposal dreamed out. I just dreamed of a man loving me and proposing. That's all. My husband gave me beautiful words about how much he loved me and how I mean the world to him and how he would never want to love anyone else and could I please be his wife? Etc.

I never had a dream proposal in mind but my husband exceeded anything I could have dreamt..
My husband took me to Venice and proposed in St. Mark's Square! We travel a lot and always talked about going to Italy. He told me he wanted to take me there for my birthday and I had no idea what he was planning to do! He told my parents two weeks before we left so they were in on his secret too!
I was so clueless that when he got down on one knee, I didn't pay any attention because I thought he was tying his shoe! When I realized what was going on I was excited but shocked! We had such a great time, we took a day trip back to Venice during our honeymoon!
My husband proposed in a very romantic way. I walked into a hotel room filled with roses, candles and our song playing. He started talking and I thought he was just there to celebrate our anniversary. He all the sudden got on one knee and proposed. It was so sweet.

That was very thoughtful, how nice that he even played your song!
Out somewhere, prefferably where you had your first date or somewhere else equally significant; you're just talking, and then, out of nowhere, he suddenly says, i have to ask you something... "propose".
At my church I'm the drama leader. So on Easter I was doing a big drama night on Good Friday. When they were taking up offering my husband blessed the offering. I never thought anything of it. Some of the people came from his church(thinking it was to see the play) When he finished blessing the offering, than he asked me to come up front. I did and that's when he propsed to me in front of the whole church. It was awesome and everyone was hootin and hollarin.
As for having a specific way, that would have never been my choice, but it was wonderful. I don't think I had a certain way, I always wanted the man to come up with the way.
