Losing the weight. ahhh

I'm 5 months post partum and not losing the weight!!!

When I got pregnant I was 114 pounds at 5'1.  At the end of my pregnancy I was 165, I was holding onto alot of water due to preeclampsia. Now I am 145!! OUCH! My small frame can't handle this weight! I still feel pregnant! My first mistake was the DEPO.  I was down to 135 pounds at one month post partum and then the depo caused me to gain weight rather than lose!

Anyways....does anyone have tips? Thanks!

I would definitely get off the depo.

I lost all my pregnancy weight and am now 5 under but I'm stil not at a healthy weight so I've still got a lot to lose.  My next goal is 25 pounds but there will be more after that. I've cut out all soda and only drink water and milk. I exercise  a lot more and am buying a bike to ride to and from work a few times a week (4 mi. each day I do it) and exercise at home when my daughter is napping. It's slow but it's helping. Plus we are starting to buy healthier food.

Good luck!

Jillian Micheals 30 day shred!! Seriously it works!! You just got to devote yourself to it!!!  I gained 70 lbs AFTER the birth of my youngest 2 years ago. All due to post partum depression and horomone issues..... I started it 7 days ago.. ive lost 2 lbs, 2inches from my waist, .5 inche from my hips and .5 from my thighs!!!  The DVD is 9$ at walmart.. or you can get it from netflix!!!

Good Luck hun!!

Oh yah Depo is AWFUL.  Theres no real trick keeping active, and eating healthy are going to be your best bet. Drink lots of water, and if you eat white bread (or rice) switch to whole wheat, whole grain to avoid the empty stratchy calories. No soda - not even diet. I am 5'1 also... Anyway I hope you get some helpful tips, Good Luck!

I would get off the depo and see what other BC is just as effective that doesn't have as many side effects. Weight gain isn't a bad thing but with all the side effects of Depo BC there are other many things that can go wrong and it may destroy your metabolisim completely . One of my sisters was on the Depo shot she had blood clots and wasn't a smoker and it shot her metabolisim to where it couldn't get back to working normally at all . Good luck though.

I personally have lost weight with herbalife. However, random peice of information. They say due to hormones, it could take up to a year for a woman to start losing weight after a baby naturally.
