barefootNky Update on Landyn FINAL UPDATE 4/24/10

Hey, ladies. I am sorry I haven't been able to do too many updates as of late on Landyn but I have been able to update in the carseat group. So I will copy/paste the updates I have from there in here. It took a message from a mommy in Babies to remind me to post updates here so I am so sorry I haven't been posting here. Things have been hectic :(

Hey, ladies. I just got a text from Desiree (barefootNky113) and things are not looking good for Landyn. He's no longer able to breathe on his own and the doctors are saying that he may not make it to Friday. Please keep this sweet baby boy in your thoughts and prayers. I will update if I hear anything else from her.

UPDATE: 4/22/10 @ 12:40pm EST: Got a text from Desiree and they are currently looking for a Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep photographer. They also have taken molds of his hands and feet. Still hoping that we get some better news soon. She also wanted me to thank all of you for the thoughts, prayers, and support she has received.

UPDATE: 4/22/10 @ 4:30pm EST: A photographer from NILMDTS showed up and took pictures of Landyn and his family together. Desiree is holding as best she can right now and is refusing to leave Landyn's side. Cannot say I blame her. She wanted me to let each of you ladies know she appreciates all the support she, Landyn, and her family have received these last few weeks. Right now its a waiting game. I just wish I had better news to report :(

Update: 4/23/10 @ 2:14 pm EST: I had spoken with Desiree last night and sadly, there is no hope of Landyn pulling through. She and her family were shown a scan of Landyn's brain to show which parts are functioning and from what she explained, there was little to no function that would allow Landyn to survive without being on a ventilator. A post was made by Desiree's mother on Facebook with an address and name if anyone wished to donate towards Landyn's funeral arrangements. If you are wishing to donate, please message me and I will forward the address to you if you do not have it. I will post another update when I hear more from Desiree. And, as I said last night, I honestly wish I had better news to report on this sweet baby boy. :(

Update: 4/24/10 @ 8:53 am EST: Just received a text message from Desiree and Landyn has become a sleeping angel. He left us roughly an hour ago and Desiree wanted me to tell you ladies she apprecaites all the support she and her family have received and will receive in the days and weeks to come.

Sweet Landyn, we love you and are here to help your mama and family through their time of sadness. Rest in peace, sweet baby boy.
