Do you think i can start using a blanket on my baby? He grew out of his warmer footie PJs. The ones he has now are a little thin. I'm thinking about covering him with a blanket. He is almost 6 months.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the recommendation is. My daughter has used a blanket since day one.

I hope another mom knows more! Bump!

My kids has always used a blanket. When they were infants, I would swaddle them in receiving blankets.

He is not down with the swaddling. lol. even as a newborn he would struggle until he got his hands and feet free. we call him baby hulk because he has always been so strong.

ive always used a blanket. My DS always kicked it off when he was little. Sometimes my DD does. Just dont pull it really high on them.  I belive they also make Sleep Sacks in age 6 months. Might be something u could look into to keep your baby warm and not worry

my DS did that too! My DH called him turtle cuz he was always blanketed around the tummy with arms, legs, and head sticking out.

Peyton has always had a blanket. We always make sure it is below his nipple line...but it always ends up somewhere else by morning. Peyton is 16 months old.

It's best to wait at least until age 1, when the SIDS risk is significantly reduced.  I recommend a wearable blanket, like the Halo sleepsacks.  My DS loves sleeping in his, and it became part of the bedtime routine.
