What is your "cure" for sunburn?

Well, the warm and sunny weather has hit us here in South Carolina.  A few of my friends have already gotten sunburned.  I've been lucky so far and already bought sunblock.

It got  me thinking..... what do you do for a sunburn?

I found the best stuff ever in Maui.... we keep a bottle in the fridge and just ordered more.

It works on any kind of burn.  I'd be lost without it!

We rarely get sun burn, but we have aloe in the refridgerator just in case.

I like to use fresh aloe for sunburns. It works really well. If I buy it in the store, I use this blue stuff with some stuff in it that relieves the burn. I cant remeber what it is called though. I just know what it looks like!!

Very important to immediately start tylenol and take it every 4-6 hours for the first 24 hrs.  We are all fair skinned( very) Irish and have had more than our share as we live in a very sunny state and high elevation.  The tylenolwill actually reduce the swelling and redness and make the sunburn not as bad.  Also know that the sunburn peaks at 24 hrs.  So you must do it for at least 24 hrs.  For the actual skin I use the blue aloe vera also as it has lidocaine in it.  After 48 hrs I switch to reg lotion.

Any good moisturizing hair conditioner works great, feels especially good if you keep it in the fridge

witch hazel! Put witch hazel in a bowl with ice and use washcloths to soak up and lay on skin, keep wetting the washcloths as they warm up and do this for about half an hour a few times a day until sunburn starts to fade, it will moisturize your skin and stop u from peeling :D

i go straight to the backyard and cut a leaf of aloe off one of my plants, cut the spines off and bring it inside, wash it off & cut in length-wise down the middle and rub it directly on the sunburn.  repeat as necessary.
