How do you get the adhesive off from steri-strips?

I had a c-section 2 weeks ago and the doctor told me that today I could take the strips off. They came off no problem, but I was wondering how to get the left over adhesive off from around my incision without being too harsh on it. Anyone have any tips?

 rubbing alcohol works pretty well.

A LIL BIT OF BABY OIL MIGHT DO THE TRICK

I left mine alone and just continued to wash the area and it came off in the shower after 2 days.  I was terrified of reopening my incision again.

I just left mine on, yucky I know. My incision was so irritated and almost infected anyway so I just didn't mess with it. That stuff washed off in about a week I think.

This worked great for me after my c-section!  Honestly that was the worst part....getting the adhesive off.

Rubbing alcohol or non asitone(sp) nail polish remover.  My doc even said to use Vaseline

rubbing alcohol, vaseline, baby oil, maybe even a little lotion. Or you could just leave it and it will wash off eventually
