how much formula should a 6 week old be drinking? kendall is 6 weeks monday, she has been drhinking around 4oz every 3-4 hours...longer periods at night..but she gets hungry within a hour today, could she be going through a growth spurt? should i up her amount to 6 oz? she she still be eating every 3-4 hours if i up it? sorry its been a while since ive been in the new baby stage.

6 weeks is means for a growth spurt. Fill up a bottle and see how much she drinks. That's how I would figure it out. :P

Kenlee ate around 2-4oz at 6 weeks. If you think she is still hungry after eating the 4oz give her more. She wont eat if she isn't hungry :].

I would give her 4 oz and then gradually give her 2 oz after that, she'll stop when she is full.

Thanks for the replies ladies :) I thought 6 weeks was a growth spurt too! sometimes she eats 2 oz, sometimes 3oz, sometimes 4..and sometimes a hour after eating 4 she is still hungry lol so i give her 2 more oz and then she's usually content for a while.

Just feed her on demand, harder when formula feeding but it cannot be too much different! If she is hungry, feed her. Stop her when she shows signs of being full.
