If your baby is walking, how old were they when they took their first step?

Mackenzie started walking 3 days before she turned 10 months. She turned 10 months on Halloween 2009.  =)

My oldest was 15 months. My middle daughter was 13 months. We are still waiting on my youngest who is 11 months. She will stand alone and walk along stuff, but no real steps yet.

It's a child not a choice.

Right about the 14 month mark, none of us were in a big hurry, lol

My first child was walking independently when he was 9 1/2 months old.

My second child was walking independently when she was 9 months old (she's been a terror ever since).

My third child is now 9 1/2 months and is still crawling, thank god.  He's been cruising for a couple of weeks and has just started letting go but no steps yet.  I'm not rushing it...

Maddox actually took his first steps around 8 months.  He was RUNNING by 9. :/  Everyone was like "Ohhhhh, that's so great!" but personally I was thinking "NOOOOOOOO!" Haha!  They get into so much more and move so much faster when they start walking! lol.
