Almost 11 month old picky eater

my son will be 11 months old Aug 4. All the sudden he does not want to eat anything. No baby food, no table food. But if I do give him Gerber graduate snacks he will eat them. But if i put noodles on his tray he picks them up and throws them over the side. Sometimes if you offer him the food off your fork he will take it. He can feed himself but won't unless it is those graduate snacks. Is he just being stubborn? We have gave him all kinds of things on his tray and he will not pick them up to eat but he will if we put some graduate stuff on there. he will pick it out of the other food!

My son is the same age and is doing the same thing, except he will only eat fruit. I have heard to just keep offering what you normaly would and eventually they'll eat it. Oh, my son is getting his first molar which is affecting his eating too.

I would def stop offering any of the snack foods. Even at the tender age of 11 months your little man is very smart : )...he knows what he likes and he wants it!! Just like pp said keep offering everything else ( a huge variety) and hopefully he'll come around!! Xoxo

I agree to keep offering him a variety of foods, with lots of encouragement and praise when he does eat.

Thank you all for your responses! He is still being a little stubborn booger but I am going to stick with it. I backed off the gerber graduate stuff. So far he is still the same, picks up the food and throws it over the side. Everything - fruit, noodles, veggies - whatever. But I am being told by several that he is testing me and he will eat when he is hungry. I hope so! I don't know if he is teething or not. He has his bottom 2 and top 2 but that is it. Maybe he is cutting some more that we can't see yet!

DD gets picky when she is teething. Right now all she will eat are green beans and "nana" bananas, so it will get better. They know what they want and how to get it!

He will eat when hes hungry :) And if he is still on BM or formula, hes getting the nutrition he needs from that so i wouldnt worry. Just like the other ladies said. Take away the snacks and offer a wide variety. My son has always ate anything that didnt eat him first, but my friends are going through this right now. 2 of the kids are 11 months, 1 is 12, and 1 is 14 months. Just stick to your guns mama. Hell eat eventually :)
