At what age do u have to pay for your child's plane ticket?

Is it two or three?  We want to take a trip in March but if we have to pay for our DS (age 2) we can't afford it.

I believe no matter what age if they have their own seat they have to pay.

And I think if u have to pay for their seat its half off I *think*

Up until age 2, a child can fly for free as a lap baby. After age 2, the child needs his/her own seat so you have to pay full fare price.

We've been flying w/ our kids since our oldest was 4 months old.

OP 2 years old is when you start paying for airfare!

Half off is only for international flights.

Are you going on an international flight...if so its 2 years of age if you share a seat its usually 10% extra on the ticket price. I know that there is a lot of talk about that being changed so that everyone no matter what age has a separate seat.

If you think about the safety aspect a coffee pot is secured on a plane, but its ok for someone under two to just be hanging out unsecure?
