Is it safe to pump after I have had a couple beers?

Yes, but you don't need to unless you are missing a feeding. Also you don't need to dump it unless you are buzzed and pump.

the alcohol is in your milk for as long as it is in your bloodstream. If you are planning to just dump it you don't have to pump unless its to just to keep up supply. Anyway I would just not feed your baby any milk pumped, or fresh until after your body has had time to get rid of the alcohol.

I would get the strips to test your milk to decide if you need to dump it or not. If you are uncomfortable, definitely pump.

My dr told me that your milk should be fine once you no longer feel any effects from the alcohol.
