Question about bowel movements in newborns...

My DD is 1w2d old and my DH is worried because she did not have one yesterday and so far not today. She is breastfed but we are also supplementing with formula. Should I be worried, what should I do?

its normal for EBF babies to go a day or few days without a bowel movement not a formula baby! so i would call ur pedi & ask since your supplementing! Formula can stop babies up & make them constipated whether ur giving them breastmilk or not

I suppplemented as well and my ped still told me that they can go a few days without a movement, if you are really worried, take a thermometer with vaseline and insert it rectally, sometimes this stimulates tha rectum...but sounds perfectly normal

I had a hard time with Tatiana too.
I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I would start to worry until she starts getting fussy and cries more than normal. Look for signs of discomfort from her.
