at least 1 gallon of water a day per person

food at least enough for for 3-7 days per person.

— non-perishable packaged or canned food / juices
— foods for infants or the elderly
— snack foods
— non-electric can opener
— cooking tools / fuel
— paper plates / plastic utensils

My DH decided to buy MREs (from the military supply) for our family to save some storage space. Since Hawai'i has not seen a "major" hurricane since 1992. (Hurricane Iniki for those of you who wondered which hurricane it was.)

Mom to 3 boys, married for 17+ yrs ...... Live, Laugh & Lots n Lots of Aloha!!!

I told my DH that I wanted to get a hand crank flash light with noaa channel on it and it also has to be able to charge my cell phone. It would make me feel tons better if we got this since he's usually called into work when stuff like this goes down.
