When is it ok to give your baby rice cereal?

Both of mine started at 3 months cos the bottles weren't filling them up.

Im skipping rice cereal. My son is 4 months and by christmas he will start solids. The yummy stuff.. fruits and veggies

Our daughter got a small spoonful in her bottles starting around 2-3 months.

You should wait until 6 months if you plan on giving cereal.  I wouldn't do rice cereal at all, it isn't really good nutritionally and it can cause severe constipation in a baby who isn't used to solids.

I skip it as it has no nutritional value but if you really want to give it wait until baby is at least 6 months old.

No solids before 6 months. Cereal is not ever needed, veggies & fruits are much better. Infant cereal is devoid of real nutrition.

I agree!

No cereal for my kids. They start on table foods when they can pick it up and feed themselves.

 i started feeding my kids cerial at 4 or 5 months because that was when it didnt matter how much i fed them in formula they would still be hungry. but with natilie she didnt like the cerial or the formula so we started feeding her puree'd table food and it worked...
