How soon can you start using tampons?

I just got my period. It's been 7 weeks going on 8 since I had my baby, and I had my 6 week checkup. It never crossed my mind to ask the doctor this , but she said everything looked fine when I went. Can I use tampons? I started back running, and I hate using pads.

Usually you get cleared to start at 6 weeks as long as everything looks normal. I'm not positive though as I won't use tampons.

Usually after your 6 week checkup if everything is ok, but be warned, even the big ones might fall out until you've done more kegel excercises to tighten up again. :)
