eat, awake, sleep schedule...but what about at night?
We do the eat, awake, sleep schedule with dd during the day. She normally can handle 1-1 1/2hr at a time awake then will get cranky and need to sleep. Should it be different at night? I wish she would eat and then go back to sleep but it only takes her about 20 mind to eat. Am I supposed to encourage her to stay awake? Or should she be encouraged to go to sleep?

age? depending on her age, i dont believe they should go more than 3 hours asleep for them to eat again. Others lean more towards NEVER wake a sleeping baby. They will usually wake themselves when they are hungry.

She is 9 wks..has started sleeping 5-7 hrs at night but not every night. I'm talking about awake time after she eats at night. Should I put her straight back down because she's bever tired enough if I do that

Uhh... you feed her and hopefully she's asleep when she's done! If not, then rock her.. keep the lights low, sing to her, walk her around, etc... until she's asleep and then lay her down.
