Hi, my son is 16 months old and a few hours ago while changing his diaper I noticed that his penis seened a bit swollen & a bit darker than usual and it seemed to be a little uncomfortable to him. I put him in the tub & then he had a nap for two hours. I just checked him when he woke up & it still seemed to be the same way. I'm very worried that this is serious & that he is in pain. This is my first little boy & I don't know what this could be (already made an appt. with Doc for Weds for him, can't get in any sooner) & just called our 811 Nurse Line for our area. Someone will call me back within half an hour & I'll explain his symptoms & then they will let me know what they think it is & if I should bring him to the ER. If anyone here knows what this could be could you please let me know while I wait. I'm really worried. Thanks

Have you looked at it really close? Make sure that it doesn't have a string or hair wrapped around it.
I would make sure there is no hair or string wrapped around it.
Do you ever reuse empty wipe box containers?
