Why do people keep saying to give her solids.

I was at my moms church yesterday and about 10 people asked why I wasnt feeding her mashed potatoes.

Monica will be 4 months on the 17. She has doubled her birth weight. She is a big baby. She sits with support. However she doesnt show interest in foods. She sleeps all night. She is happy and doesnt scream likes shes hungry. So why would I start her on solids now? I dont understand why people are in a rush to give solids.

Follow your own instincts & baby's cue. She will let u know when she is interested in them

I don't know. I think that's too early.

People seem to think they know what's best, even when they're wrong. Lol.

You do what you feel is right. People want to stick their noses where they don't belong. Even after my dd's doctor urged me to start solids at 4 months (she was small) I didn't until she was 5.5 months because I didn't feel she was ready.

Everyone has 2 things in common with each other. They all have a**holes and they all have an opinion.

You know your baby better than they do, so don't let them get you upset. It's totally your call what you feed your child

My doctor said 4months if I choose. I don't think we will till at least 6 months but that's my choice. Again this is your right tell them she is doing fine and you will give them to her when you feel she is ready

I don't think people are a very good judge of baby age anymore. :)
