How much was your out of pocket? Just curious.
After LO was in the NICU for a week and I needed a transfusion it was $1800 after insurance.
The total bill before ins was pushing $35k

My insurance paid everything... So I honestly dont know. And, had I gotten it written, I could have sued the hospital for screwing up my epidural. They used the wrong meds. She put in the meds that were for another patient... UGH! So needless to say my epidural was a waste of time and effort!
My homebirth midwife is $2000 cash, she doesn't take insurance. If I went to the hospital I have a $2500 ded for me, and a $2500 ded for baby. After the ded, we still have to pay 30%. So, as long as everything goes well, we will pay $2k instead of $5000+

The 4 day hospital stay was $65k I think. And I had a c sect and there were separate costs for my surgery, my dr, the other dr who helped but I didn't have to pay for anything thank goodness! And I got 5.5 months off of work =]

Insurance paid for everything. I didn't even have co-pays.

I didn't have insurance with my last. I'm still paying on it. Total bill was $9650 or close to it.

with my son I paid 500-1000 out of pocket, but that also includes my prenatal appoitments. With my daughter it was 0 out of pocket, everything was completely covered :)
