When do YOU start putting shoes on your little one?
I like to put soft sole/crib shoes on my babies during infancy, starting at around 3 months old, if we are going out [not every time].
I also like the socks that look like shoes :-]

Usually when they start walking or it is cold out which is about the same time frame.

I love the socks and stockings that look like shoes! So adorable! I put shoes on ds around 6 months just cause I found some really cute pairs that looked nice and snazzy!

Only after they are walking well. Shoes hinder the learning process of walking.
Sorry if my observational outburst enrages you.

I used the soft rubbery sock type when ds was still crawling and then holding on to objects to cruise a bit. I think they were called rubber-roos. They have them at walmart. Now ds is 22 months and has had Stride Rite shoes since he fully started walking after he turned 1

We live in MI, so they would wear little furry sock things when we went out in the cold. Otherwise, just after they were walking.
