My son was 18 days when he got RSv and ended up in the hospital PICU for a month. IF you think they have it i would get them to a dr ASAP.

I have been hearing of quite a few babies coming down with that. One friend of mine has her baby in the hospital right now with it, trying to keep his oxygen levels up. I'll say a prayer for your LO. I would def call the doc!

THANK YOU LADIES!! I am calling the doctor first thing in the morning. I didn't know anything was going around so assumed allergies or a cold. But they keep getting worse. :( prayers are so appreciated. My heart is hurting to even think they could get that sick.

Try not to freak too much. For normal, healthy babies, RSV is normally just like a really bad cold and doesn't require hospitalization. It's preemies or immune compromised babies that it's truly scary for. I hope they feel better soon!

Dd was a premie but she is 22 months. Ds was full term but they are both having a hard time breathing! :(

Some of us don't get the pleasure of breastfeeding. I didn't produce milk. With that aside I have my son in bed and he has no fever as of right now. Which was one of the side effects. So I am going to keep a close eye on him and I have Dds monitors turned up so I can hear her breathing. I won't get much sleep but with no fevers and horrible weather I am going to keep them in unless one gets a fever. If not I am calling the doctor in the morning. Thanks for the advice
Quoting Gailll:Breastfed infants do much, much better than formula fed babies and there is a lower rate of hospitalization. If your children aren't breastfeeding and are having problems breathing then you need to call the doctor or take them to the ER tonight.
