has anyone ever tried them?  i am thinking of using them, but it is a pricey investment.  so i am wondering if it is worth it.  right now my baby weighs about 12 lbs so i will prob wait till he is 14 lbs and get the medium size diaper.

a friend of mine said she has used BumGenuis and loved them.  has anyone ever tried those?  what are your thoughts?

I really would like to use cloth diapers even if it is for half the time he is in diapers.  the disposable ones are such a waste and horrible to the environment!  plus in the long run you save a lot on cloth!  it just seems like such a commitment i need to know the facts before i make that big step, haha!  :)

We just started cloth diapering a month ago and love it.  I too was overwhelmed with all the options out there.  I didn't choose G diapers because it seems they're best as a hybrid option which has a biodegradable insert.  But this insert costs more than regular diapers.  I ended up doing a trial package and then buying a bunch of diapers.  I did a ton of research.  We ended up buying bumgenius, fuzzibunz, thirsties, smartipants and we bought several of the 3 monkeys (we haven't received these yet).  I'm very happy with all of the diapers we received.  I'm also happy with all the diapers in the trial package .

I didn't really like Gdiapers. They weren't as absorbant as others I've used. I prefer prefolds + covers.

We are going to go this route. At first I wasn't going to but I have read the reviews about the flip covers and it makes me excited to put my 9 month old back in cloth. Plus there is a BOGO going on right now. :)

I absolutely love bumgenius. Never tried gdiapers. Heard you either love them or hate them

I'm not find of gdiapers. Bum genius are a far better brand!!! They're a bit pricier but they work better and will last longer if you get them in snaps!!

I have a ton of different brands though, I don't stick with just one. But bum genius are my very favorite commercial brand!!
