Baby Formula Questions

I've been reading a lot about baby formula and have found somethings that I wonder: Where does it all come from? Is it tested? Here are my questions:

Can baby formula last more than the 1 hour?
Everything says to discard it after baby has drank off it because the babies bacteria has gotten into the bottle. What's wrong with the baby drinking it's own bacteria?

The bacteria can make her sick. If you mix it and your baby hasn't drank from the bottle, you can put it in the fridge until she's ready to drink it, but don't just mix it and leave it out.

It's a liability for the manufacturer. Bacteria will breed in the formula which is essentially corn syrup, whey, and vitamins, bacterial miracle gro-and with no digestive enzymes/ stomach acid to intervene the baby could get food poisoning from it.

I think most have a 48 hour fridge life though right?
