Tips for cleaning a babys nose?

My 13 month old son has a sinus infection, hes snotty and boogery. I try to gently wipe away the snot, and 9 times out of 10, he starts thrashing, if i hold his hands, he shakes his head back and forth, and if i hold his head, he hits and makes it impossible to do anything. He has started to learn how to  blow his nose, i pretend i am, then hold the rag to his nose, and he'll blow, its not that procuctive, but the sooner he learns the better. The booger sucker is also a no go, i try gently a few times and it just ends in me getting nothing but a baby in a screaming fit. Am i just out of luck? Any advice?

agreed with above. I also use boogie wipes and it seems to be gentler on my lil guy then regular tissue or baby wipes. hope your lo feels better soon.

Nose Frida. It is absolutely amazing. Its about 12 bucks, but i have used the hell out of it since my son was 2 months old and and has worked great. YouTube it and see how it works, and see if it might be a good fit for you.
