Hi ladies. Just need a little friendly advice. I'm due in 3 days and have everything set up in our crib but do not have a bumper. With our oldest dd (who is 4 now) we used a bumper that tucked down and fastend under the mattress to prevent her face from getting under it. I know now that there is a lot of new information on crib bumpers and that they seem to be frowned upon. So I thought I would ask the experts!
Did/ do you use a crib bumper?
If so did you get the very thin mesh or the cute padded one that matches your crib set?

All 3 of my girls used.them with no problems. My youngest is 8 months and still has one- took it off for awhile after doing some reading on here but she kept getting her legs and arms stuck between the rails and it would leave markings on her, so i put it back on.

The only Kind I would use is the breathable ones. They work like crap. though. He is forever playing with them. As pushing them Down.

Now he throws stuff in and out of his crib, his feet always end up sticking out etc.
My cats don't hop in there nor has he figured out how to climb out lol

I've used padded bumpers with all three kids. It was never an issue

We used the padded matching one to his set. He never slept on the edge of the crib

in my 7 years of child care experience i have never seen any scary occurrences with bumper use and we plan to use a traditional bumper
i have seen familys start with one an remove it, an the child ended up getting their arms an legs twisted in between the bars without so they put it back
