Formula Feeders UNITE

I've recently given birth to my first son, and am slowly realizing that if you feed your baby formula it is sometimes 'frowned on'...
WELL, I say let's UNITE!! For MANY reasons moms choose or are forced to choose formula for their babies and I don't think we should feel guilty about that :)

I'm interested to hear other mother's thoughts on the subject...

I breastfed my baby for 2 months and felt a lot of unwarranted guilt when I decided to stop, coming from nurses, doctors and fellow moms, being judged because it just didn't work for us to breastfeed. I am now SO over this guilt and my son is doing just great! But why do we feel guilty for making choices that are best for our children?

Let's talk about it and help take the 'taboo' out of formula feeding.
Somehow, I don't think I am alone in this...

How is formula feeding taboo? More people choose formula over breastfeeding....

I don't understand any of the stigma. Besides on CafeMom no one has ever "cared" how I fed my babies. I FF my twin boys no one said anything to me about it, nothing negative, nothing positive. I BF my daughter both in public (modestly), and at home. Again no one said anything to me negative, or positive about my choice.

I have breast fed all of my children but one, but had to stop due to going back to work with no where to pump and once I got to my 7th child I couldn't keep up so I switched to formula. I felt guilty every time I had to stop but you eventually realize that it happens. It is a personal preferance and I don't believe anyone should judge another mother for what they decide to do with their children(easier said then done)!!!

I hear more taboos about Breastfeeding than I do formula feeding. Actually, I don't think I have heard any taboos about formula feeding. Can't think of a single one.

*hug* I EBF, but wanted to stop by and show some love! Great job taking care of your LO's! : ) Being a Momma is hard, no matter how you feed your baby!

I didn't realize formula is taboo. Maybe it is in the world of CM, but not in the real world.

I know more formula feeding moms than breastfeeding moms. I bfd, no formula ever, my dd and plan to do the same with the next baby. That is my choice. As long as you're not starving your baby, I could care less how you choose to feed your baby.
