My son is almost 6 weeks old and I was going to start giving him cereal in his bottle. Ive heard not to until 3-4 months and Ive heard that people start earlier. I need some opinions on it.

Unless medically necessary no solids should be given before 6 months and NEVER in the bottle

You should research it more. I think you would find that it wouldn't be a good idea.

The baby should not get ANY solids until 4-6 months...later the better.  If you were breastfeeding I would tell you no food until at least 6 months.  You should not put food in a bottle because it is a choking hazard.  Cereal is nutritionally void so when you do start food...go with veggies or fruits.

Do you have a doctor for this baby?
