Do you think it would be ok to give my 10 1/2 month old peanut butter?

I gave my DD peanut butter around that time. I read somewhere that yes, the recommendation is to wait until 1 year; however, if there is no family history of allergies there is nothing wrong in letting them try it. If you feel really unsure about it a month and a half longer isn't too much to wait at least :-).

They actually recommend you to start early now, because they believe the reason they develop the allergy in the first place is from waiting too long to give it to them .

Quoting flowerfunleah:

You're not supposed to give them peanut butter, whole milk, or honey until they're a year old.

We gave my twins pb when they were around 11 months old. There are no allergies in either of my or my husbands family and my son (boy twin) ended up being allergic. just watch your son closely if you do.

I guess?  My son is severly allergic to peanut butter, if he is even in the same room with it, he will have a reaction (we just learned this 3 days ago), so my 16 month old has NEVER had peanut butter.
