how long did it take for your sons plastibell to fall off?? the doctor said to call if it hasnt come off in 8 days and today is the 8th day... should i be worried or is it normal??

Sorry my sons where done over 20 years ago so i dont remember time frames BUT it seems to me if the DR said 8 days common sense would tell us to take a good look at it and if its still there on day nine (assuming it looks good) then pick up the phone and ask.

I think it finally fell off around 2 weeks after it was done.
My ds had one and we called on the 9th day. They said to look for new skin growth, growing back over the bell. I thought that is what was happening, so we took him in. Turns out it just didn't fully seperate. A quick cautery stick fixed it and it came off nicely. This was 4 days ago and it looks great. I really like the bell method, there is very little care involved with it. If in doubt, call the Dr.! Good luck!

Day 10. They told me after 10 days if it didn't fall off to call the dr to get it checked. I made a call for an appt and before the appt that day it fell off.
