Did that influence how many children each of you wanted?

DH has 1 biological brother and 4 stepbrothers/sisters, as well as an adopted sister (legally a sister, biologically, his niece). I have 1 full biological sister, 1 half sister, 2 stepsisters from my stepdad, 2 stepsisters from my ex-stepmom, 4 stepbrothers from my stepdad. We both come from extended families and while I wouldn't mind a large family if I lived in a rural area like I grew up in, it is not practical in a city. Also, DH already has 2 older daughters (20 and 25), so we don't feel the need for another of "ours".
We each have one older sibling. We got together in our 40's and we did not think that we would be lucky enough to have a child. Now into our mid ti late 40's we do not feel that it would be a good idea to have another
I had three sisters ! passed My husband has two brothers both asses and my husband would tell you the same thing
He has 2 and I have 7. I don't know if it's influenced him, but it hasn't influenced me.
