Name regrets?

Any name regrets?

Hubby and I LOVE our childrens' first names but we do kind of regret our oldest son's middle name. It is ok and not a terrible name ( it's Tyler) but if we had thought of it at the time we would have picked Joel. Oh well, kind of late now, considering he is 4!! And it is just his middle name so it's not that big of a deal.

Hope so! But I don't know haven't seen or heard from her or my ex in 13 years.

I think it makes perfect sense. Our boys' names match their personalities :)

Quoting Allebas:

Nope. No regrets. I look at my kids, and their personalities match their names--if that makes ANY sense whatsoever?

i did not plan to name my second son after his father but he likes it especially since his father died when he was 2.  he all of the sudden in the delivery room changed his mind.  my youngest son was the only one of my kids whose gender i knew before birth.  his father and i finally agreed on the name cody but for some reason never talked about a middle name.  when he was born the nurses put the pressure on us to come up with one.  they suggested using one of our middle names.  his dad was lyn so that was out so he got mine-lee.  later i wished i had used michael which is my brother's name and his dad's late cousin who was like a brother to him.  mine are all adults now and seem happy with their names.

I LOVE my daughter's name. Sometimes, I wonder about how other people feel about it (my mother, aunts and cousins), but I think it's perfect! I named her Claire Lori...Claire, because I hadn't heard that name in a while and I think it's a really pretty name, and Lori after my aunt who passed away a few years ago. I have no regrets. :)

Definitely no regrets. My son's name is Trevor Andrew. My husband gave me a book with 100,000+ baby names. I read every page and just wrote down names that I liked and finally narrowed it down to Mason, Gavin and Trevor. Trevor won. Andrew is my dad's middle name.

When I was younger I hated my name because it was common. Oldest DD, Brittany, has a common name and loves it because of that. She isn't one who wants to stand out. I wouldn't change her middle name, Dawn, because it is after my sister, Kim, middle name. My youngest DD, Amica, loves her name because it is different. I wouldn't change her middle name, Sophia, because it is the same as my best friend and "sister', Sam middle name.
