I'v used all kinds of carriers; ring sling, Moby, mei tai & an ergo this time around with #4 & with my other kids the ring sling, the ones you can get a Target(its been too long & i can't remember the brand)
I liked the ring sling when they are really little or when they are bigger & just it on my hip. The Moby I only used for a little while; after a few months Levi like to be more upright so the Moby was good for that but its kinda a pain to wrap around me. My MIL the ring sling for me this time & my grandma the first time around. You can also look on etsy for a handmade one-that's where I got my mei tai carrier. The Moby I got at Target
The ergo I like for hiking with my 10 month old. I use it on my back & I just feel like its a little more secure for that type of carrying. I can't use it as a hip carrier cause it hurts after just a little bit. The mei tai carrier I use as my every day carrier.
I have used Nojo padded ring slings & a mei tei. loved the ring slings early on then after he got head control I liked the meitei more & now & then like the nojo now for the hip carry(he's 3) but still use the meitei if he's sleepy or not feeling good.(he asks to sleep-ride on my back.lol)
Keep an eye out on Totsy.com. They have awesome deals!!!
I have a Moby, which I LOVE! A Mai Tei and a Ring Sling. I enjoy the sling too. The Mai Tei is new to me, so I'm interested in using it and seeing how it works.
I got tired of the moby because it was such a pitbutt to tie when it was rainy or muddy or leafy on the ground, the ends would get all Nasty. It was super comfortable once on though.
Good luck, hope you find something soon!
