What do you do with baby while you get some house work done, like cleaning floors, bathrooms, etc.? House isn't going to be perfect, but some stuff needs to be maintained.

Naptime. Or put them in their swings and turn on some music. I usually do one room, then play them for a bit before moving on to another room.

My dd was content in her swing and would get mad if you took her out once she was in there.

Baby wear, naptime, bed time, when hubby is home, when they are in the swing, playing on the floor, pretty much any time I can get it in.

For bathroom I keep him in the hallway in the high chair where I can see him but he's out of the fumes.

Quoting MomofAlice:

Naptime, or I give her a snack in her highchair and roll it into whichever room I'm in. Highchair lasts about 20 mins max.

This. And I used to baby wear but ds refused to be on my back.

Quoting kirstina:

Put her in her exersaucer in the room with me. Or in her high chair with a few toys. If she is being grumpy I wait until nap time.

For myself, I try to take care of the big messes right away, otherwise I wait until the Kiddo's are all in bed before I even attempt any deep cleaning of any sort.

Honest answer is I have somewhat given up. My baby girl is having some seperation anxiety atm, was super colic-y the first couple of months. So, straightening is my main concern! If only she would nap for more than 10 min!

Nap time( when I'm not napping with him). After he is in bed or pull his exer-saucer to where ever I am cleaning and give him a snack
